Explanation of Rear:
- Large screw terminal for power supply (not transformer) from 90W to 500W (24V to 30V)
- Middle size screw terminal for “Line 1” (main output, up to 12A)
- Small screw terminal for “Line 2” (programming & update track or branch line (up to 8A)
- Triple screw terminal for DC power (same voltage as on track) and ground
- 16 input or output pins for external “panic stop”, AOS and other functions
- Adapter socket for other devices: Roco Lokmaus, Fred (Loconet), S88 bus, or external booster
- CAN socket for ZIMO devices with sync cable, boosters, track section modules...
- Etherent LAN socket (e.g. wireless router), USB client socket (PC)
- ZigBee radio antenna
The new ZIMO MX10 Command Station is state-of-the art not only in looks but on the inside as well. It is amazing that all this power was put in such a small package. Compare this to most all of the other clunky comand stations that are based on yeterdays technology, which of course includes also the previous generation of ZIMO the MX1.
ZIMO has set again new standards in many aspects most powerful comand station, almost unlimitted interfacing technology (USB port, USB sticks, LAN, CAN-BUS) 64MB of flash RAM, and 4GB of data storage. This make the data management of large installtions with extensive electronic equipment possible.
The built-in display with a rotary knob and some buttons provides basic control functionality, so that certain basic functions of the MX10 can be operated without external control devices, such as cabs, smart phones or computers. These include basic driving and switching functions (set an address, speed control and switch setting), single line CV programming, software updates of ZIMO equipment (including the MX10 itself) and decoders, including the loading of sound projects. An additional external update device is no longer required.
